Join mycologist Aaron Tupac on a 90-minute guided mushroom walk in the gardens. Attendees will learn about ecology, native plants and fungi, fungi identification techniques, and best practices for mushrooming. The group will also witness a macro photography demonstration.


About the instructor: 
Aaron Tupac is a mycologist, educator, and community organizer based in Los Angeles. They work for the Fungal Diversity Survey, serving as a fungi collector for the California Fungal Diversity Survey Project, and is chair and co-founder of the North American Mycological Association’s Conservation and Stewardship Committee. They are passionate about fungi conservation advocacy, ecological restoration, and making fungi education accessible for all ages and demographics.
