TICKETS TO THE CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL HAVE SOLD OUT.

There are no more general admission tickets to the Cherry Blossom Festival. Due to parking and traffic concerns, we are only allowing visitors with Cherry Blossom Festival tickets to enter Descanso Gardens on March 11–12.

DESCANSO GARDENS MEMBERS

Descanso Gardens members have access to the Gardens 364 days a year. We will have a special line for Descanso Gardens members without tickets the day of the Festival. For more information, please call (818) 952-4390.

Meet in Center Circle to take a guided walk with our experts to learn about cherry blossoms and other flowering trees.

Origami | 11am – 3pm
Try the art of paper folding with help from experts.

Camellia Lounge | 10am – 4pm
Purchase Japanese influenced cuisine, including tempura and sushi selections.

Performance by Minyo Station | 11am, 1pm & 3pm
Minyo Station presents a jazzy style of Japanese folk music blending traditional Japanese music, Minyo, with various genres of Western music.

Performance by June Kuramoto | March 5, 11am, 1pm & 3pm
June Kuramoto performs on the koto, the national instrument of Japan. A classically trained musician, she is a founding member of the Japanese-American fusion ensemble Hiroshima.

On Ensemble is at the forefront of a growing artistic movement in the Japanese taiko drumming world. On Ensemble has made a name for itself by infusing the powerful rhythms of taiko with overtone singing, odd meter grooves and soaring melodies.

Know Before You Go

  • Parking is free in our lot, but if all spaces are full you may be directed to park on the street. Descanso Gardens is located in a residential neighborhood. Please be a courteous driver and be respectful of our neighbors!

  • We are a botanical garden and a museum accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. Please treat our grounds with the same respect you would show at any other museum.

  • There is no smoking allowed anywhere on our property, including e-cigarettes.

  • Animals (except for service animals as defined by the ADA) are not allowed in the Gardens. Please leave your fur-kids at home!

  • Sports equipment, bikes, balls, etc. are not allowed in the Gardens. 

  • Picnics are not allowed in the Gardens. We have a picnic area located outside the Gardens near the parking lot where you may enjoy food and drink from home. Food and beverages are available for purchase inside the Gardens.

  • Wheelchairs are available at our Visitor Center on a first-come, first served basis.
